As it turns out, people really don't care about protecting flowers all that much. Sure, there are laws on the books which state that you can't just mosey on to a federally protected wildlife reserve, wade through the swamp, and help yourself to any orchid you please. But who is going to stop me?
Most organizations dedicated to rare flowers and their protection are filled with people who are too scared to confront me or my dog, Beau. So what is the worst that could happen?
I'll most likely keep making enormous amounts of money from overseas buyers while scientists try to figure out ways to make flowers in labs.
